about us

National Spectrum's bias is that of a conservative democrat. It refers to itself as having the political view of a Jackson democrat: Scoop, not Jesse. Often we sound like Hubert Horatio Humphrey. Never do we resemble William Jefferson Clinton. And we are not Republicans though we agree with many of their positions. We are flag-wavers and proud of it; unabashed lovers of apple pie but with a dim, skeptical view of concentrated power in any government, including ours and a visceral distrust of power seeking men and women, especially those who love telling you and me the best way to manage your and my life. We have little use for bureaucrats; political correctness; Senators from New York and Massachusetts, the United Nations, unfettered globalization and the diminution of the sovereignty of nations. We agree with George Washington about foreign entanglements; with that sage who remarked that nations have but interests and with Harry Truman who said that if you need a friend in Washington get a dog.

Enjoy! And feel free to offer suggestions. We publish our email and will continue to do so. We will read and answer all your comments albeit probably later rather than sooner.
